Due to the rich Italian history of Morristown, NJ, the multitude of excellent pizzerias comes as no surprise. If you’re in town and searching for the best pizza joint, we can point you in the right direction.

1. Pomodoro Ristorante & Pizzeria

Conveniently located across from Morristown train station at 125 Morris St, Pomodoro Ristorante & Pizzeria is a small family-owned storefront. Open for over twenty years, Pomodoro serves some of the most exquisite pizzas in town. All of their selections are made fresh daily with only the highest quality ingredients.

2. Morris Pizzeria

You can choose one of their 14 specialty selections or customize your pizza with their extensive list of individual toppings. Our favorite is their pizza Romana, an absolutely delicious pie topped with artichoke hearts, sausage, mushroom, fresh mozzarella, and arugula. In addition to pizza, they also offer a variety of appetizers, salads, subs, pasta, strombolis, soups, wraps, meatballs, calzones, and desserts. Pomodoro Ristorante & Pizzeria has something for everyone!

Before heading home from work in your comfortable Ford Escape, you might want to stop for a relaxing bite to eat. If so, Morris Pizzeria is the perfect spot. This joint is an unpretentious, family-owned counter-serve restaurant located at 161 South St. Since 1990, they have been offering delightful homemade pizzas as well as sandwiches and pastas. All of their food is prepared with freshly sourced ingredients, and their dough is made in-house daily.

As one of the oldest pizzerias in town, they have an established reputation for excellence amongst locals. They prioritize hygiene and food safety, so you can rest assured that your meal will be both healthy and delicious. We highly recommend their chicken parm pizza. Topped with sliced and seasoned breaded chicken and mozzarella cheese, this pie is a joy to the senses.

3. Millie’s Old World Meatballs & Pizza

Located at 60 South St, Millie’s Old World Meatballs & Pizza exudes a relaxed, family atmosphere intended to evoke memories of nostalgic “Sunday suppers.” Brothers Vincent and Brandon Carrabba established this pizzeria to honor their Italian heritage and their grandmother, Millie, after whom the restaurant is named.

One of this restaurant’s most interesting features is its “dueling ovens” concept, which allows them to offer both coal-fired and Neapolitan-style pizzas. Everything on the menu is delectable, but we particularly enjoy their grape tomato truffle pie topped with homemade mozzarella, prosciutto, basil, white truffle cream, grape tomatoes, parmigiano reggiano. Additionally, they serve salads, starters, meatballs, sandwiches, and calzones. You can even purchase a variety of their signature sauces, dressings, and cheeses to take home.

When that pizza craving strikes, you can check out any of these three awesome pizzerias to satisfy your hunger. When you’re done, come visit us at Nielsen Ford of Morristown to see our latest stock!
